Dr. Saleem Naik is a Senior Consultant in GI Surgery, GI Oncology, Robotic Surgery and Morbid Obesity Surgery at Amrita Hospital, Faridabad. He has extensive experience in laparoscopic, robotic and open gastrointestinal surgery, with expertise spanning complex GI, hepatobiliary, bariatric and oncological procedures.

Dr. Naik's surgical practice covers both commonly performed gastrointestinal procedures and advanced operations requiring specialised expertise. His experience includes laparoscopic cholecystectomy, hernia surgery, fundoplication, laparoscopic colectomy, colorectal procedures, thoracoscopic oesophagectomy and single-port surgery, as well as complex open procedures including Whipple's procedure, hepaticojejunostomy, radical cholecystectomy and major liver resections.

He is also experienced in robotic GI and bariatric surgery, using minimally invasive approaches where clinically appropriate. His bariatric practice includes procedures such as sleeve gastrectomy, Roux-en-Y gastric bypass (RYGB), mini gastric bypass (MGB) and revisional bariatric surgery, along with long-term management of patients undergoing weight-loss procedures.

Dr. Naik is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) and is associated with the American Society of Bariatric and Metabolic Surgeons. He has completed advanced qualifications including MS, DNB in Surgical Gastroenterology and MNAMS in Surgical Gastroenterology.

Prior to joining Amrita Hospital, Faridabad, Dr. Naik held several senior clinical and leadership positions. His professional experience includes serving as Director of the CUSP Group of Surgeons, Head of GI Surgery at Batra Hospital and Senior Consultant in HPB and Liver Transplant Surgery at BLK Superspeciality Hospital, New Delhi. He has also worked as a visiting consultant across hospitals in Delhi-NCR.

His academic and research experience complements his surgical practice. He has participated as a co-investigator in multicentre international clinical trials involving intra-abdominal infections and postoperative ileus and has contributed to indexed publications and case reports in gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary surgery.

Dr. Naik has particular clinical interests in morbid obesity surgery, hepatopancreaticobiliary surgery, bile duct injuries following gallbladder surgery and laparoscopic GI oncology.
